Birthday Wishes & Coconuts

We celebrated George's birthday on Sunday and it was a spectacular day.  We got him a few gifts but I think his favorite was his new guitar pick. 

After breakfast, birthday gifts & cheers we headed straight to the beach.  The weather was gorgeous.  The best part of being on St. John off season is that the weather is great with very few people on island to share it with.  Almost as if we had the beach all to ourselves.  

George found a bunch of coconuts on the beach for me.   I'll use these coconuts later on in the week to make Halloween Coco-lanterns with Milan.  After a few dips, fun in the sun and coconut harvesting we made it back home just before nap time & kick-off.  

After nap time, Milan & I made George some birthday brownies while he watched the games.  Nothing fancy, just a simple Ghirardelli box mix this time around.  It was more about enjoying the together time then driving myself crazy going all over town to find the right chocolate, the right flour and other necessary ingredients on this tiny island of ours.
